A CYCLIST has been killed after crashing with a car in Leytonstone, in which the driver failed to stop.
Police were called to collision outside the tube station, Church Lane, on Saturday at 6.30am and London Ambulance Service pronounced the 56-year-old man dead at the scene.
Next of kin have been informed and a post mortem will be conducted in due course.
The abandoned car was found was found close by.
Metropolitan Police attended addresses in Leyton and arrested three men, aged 19, 18 and 16. They were taken to an East London police station and bailed pending further inquiries to dates in early May.
Officers from the Road Death Investigation Unit are investigating and road closures were in place.
