Workers at a firm in Braintree received death threats after an employee was alleged to be behind an abusive Twitter account.
The user 'Old_Holborn' tweeted disparing remarks about Liverpool FC, the Hillsborough stadium disaster, Jamie Bulger, and the Boston bombings.
An Essex Police investigation is also currently under way after some of the tweets were reported to officers by a person in Braintree.
