Detectives are looking to identify the owners of a laptop and sports bag that were recovered in Witham.
Police believe the items were stolen during a theft or burglary and then taken to Cash Exchange on Newland Street on Tuesday, April 30.
At this stage, they have been unable to ascertain who they rightfully belong to.
Anyone who believes they are the rightful owners should contact detectives at Braintree police station on 101.
