A man will appear in court tomorrow in connection with an alleged incident at a mosque in Braintree yesterday.
Geoffrey Ryan, 43, of Brick Kiln Way, Braintree, has been charged with two counts of possession of offensive weapons and affray.
The incident took place at the Al Falah Braintree Islamist Centre in Silks Way at 7.15pm.
Ryan remains in custody and will appear at Colchester Magistrates' Court.
