A young man was rushed to hospital after he was attacked with a metal bar.
The man in his 20s, from Halstead, received injuries to his hand after the assault at about 1am on Friday, November 29, in the Parsonage Street and Evans Court area.
His mobile phone was also broken.
Two Halstead men, aged 23 and 53, have been arrested on suspicion of GBH and criminal damage and released on police bail until February 20.
