A Metropolitan Police officer convicted of having images of underage girls on his computer has won an appeal against his conviction.
PC Adam Holbrook, 29, of Chelmsford, was arrested on August 7 last year after surfing a website renowned for pictures of underage girls.
The officer, who was commended for his work at an East London murder scene in 2007, was found to have 16 indecent images of underage girls posing naked or half-naked on his computer and fined £40 for each at Westminster Magistrates' Court back in May.
But on Friday, December 6 at Southwark Crown Court, Mr Holbrook won an appeal against the conviction of making 16 indecent images of children.
The serving Met Police officer, who is based in the Waltham Forest borough, is still suspended pending a disciplinary hearing.
