A MENTAL health patient who went missing from Benfleet has been found in Bristol.
Derek Jarrett, along with Paola Akosa, failed to return to the mental health unit on April 30.
The 39-year-old woman has this afternoon been found safe and well by officers in Bristol.
She does require a medical assessment though and so will be brought back to Essex on Saturday (May 3).
The search for the 56-year-old man is continuing, with officers believing that he is in the Bristol area and is without his medication which will have a detrimental affect on his mental health.
Derek Jarrett is described as white, is approximately 5ft 6ins tall and has grey hair.
He was last seen wearing tracksuit bottoms and has several tattoos on his arms.
Anyone who sees him should not approach them but contact police on 101 immediately.
