Hundreds are expected to line the streets of Chelmsford to see The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh pay the city an official visit on May 6.
The royal couple will attend a service at Chelmsford Cathedral as part of the centenary celebrations of the Chelmsford Diocese.
Once there, the Queen and Prince Phillip will meet staff and volunteers in the nearby offices.
The royal party then moves to Felsted School, in Felsted to mark its own 450th anniversary. They will meet students and staff, view a display illustrating the history of the school, and take in a performance by the school choir.And it will be far from the first time The Queen has visited the county, as you see from our timeline below (hover over the image and press the arrow on the right to navigate):
