A WOMAN arrested over an assault at a Braintree care home has been released on bail as police investigations continue.
A woman in her 40s from the town was arrested on May 2 after BBC Panorama undercover secret filming at The Old Deanery revealed alleged cases of neglect and abuse of elderly residents.
One scene appeared to show a woman being slapped as carers tried to put her into a hoist.
After the programme was aired last Wednesday night Essex Police announced it would be investigating and made on arrest on suspicion of assault.
Police say the probe continues while the woman is on bail.
