The Big Bluebell Dog Walk, Langdon Hills Bring your pet pooch along for a walk among the pretty spring flowers and raise money for a great cause too. The Big Bluebell Dog Walk will raise money for Canine Partners, the national assistance dog charity. Their dogs help people with a variety of disabilities, and some are even trained to load and unload a washing machine. You're also welcome if you don't have a dog. 10.30am start on Saturday, May 10 Langdon Hills Country Park, High Road, Basildon Entry is £5 adults, £1 chiidren. Take a night-time wander around the cemetery with a bat expert to see how many different species you can spot. There will also be a range of exhibitors, representatives from classic car clubs and special attractions. The tours are led by Blue Badge Guides as part of a series of events to commemmorate the 1514 charter granted by Henry VIII to the Guild of Holy Trinity. The tours last around one and half hours and there is a chance to sit down halfway through. Tours start at 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm on Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11.
