POLICE have stepped up their search for a stocky man believed to be been involved in an assault in Braintree.
The incident happened on April 19 at The Bull in Market Place, Braintree around 2.10am when the 19-year-old victim from the town stepped in to assist door staff following an argument between two men and got punched by the suspect.
He was left with small cuts and bruising to his eye socket.
The suspect is believed to be called Charlie and he is white, around 25 years old, 6ft tall, stocky build, with dark brown hair.
Initial enquiries into the assault at a pub in April have failed to identify the suspect and officers hope that someone may be able to help identify the man responsible.
