WITHAM Town have made their first signing of the summer by snapping up experienced striker Jamie Guy.
The 26-year-old played for Heybridge Swifts last season and joins Town as they begin to build for their first season in the Ryman League Premier Division.
A former professional with Colchester United, Guy moved to Braintree Town and played in the Conference Premier, before a suffering a double break in his leg.
After recovering from the injury he went on to play for Maldon & Tiptree and Needham Market.
Assistant manager Brad King told the club's website: "Garry and I are really pleased to have signed Jamie as we believe can score goals at any level and has proven this, the only question mark was his fitness but we saw Jamie when we played Heybridge last season and he is back to the fitness levels when he was a professional.
"He has worked hard in his own time as he wants to get back to his best. His ability is second to none and his experience will be vital in the Ryman Premier."
