MOTORISTS driving on the A12 through rush hour this evening are expected to face more delays after a multi-vehicle crash near Galleywood.
Two cars and a lorry are believed to have collided on the road in a London-bound direction causing traffic to build up around Chelmsford.
Three fire engines, an ambulance, and two police cars are currently in attendance.
Motorist Matt Harris said: "There's people standing outside their cars not doing much and not moving.
"It's crazy - I'm trying to pick up my son from nursery, I'm going to be late."
Eyewitnesses have described one lorry crashing into another while pulling out of a lay-by, and diesel spilling from one of the vehicles.
It follows a serious collision on the M11 earlier this afternoon which has lead to the closure of the northbound carriageway and drivers stuck in queues for up to two hours so far.
