Chelmsford City have re-signed goalkeeper Nicky Eyre.
The Braintree-born stopper, 28, has Conference Premier experience with Grays Athletic, Rushden & Diamonds and Dagenham & Redbridge, having started his career in the youth system at Spurs.
He rejoined the Clarets at the end of last season as cover for Carl Pentney, and is now signed up for the new campaign.
Manager Mark Hawkes said: "I asked him to drop down two levels three years ago to join me at Heybridge.
"He is an excellent keeper and will have no trouble moving back up to the Conference South.
"He has already been training hard for the last six weeks getting himself in shape for the coming season."
The club have also appointed Mark Dorado as chief scout.
The former Maldon Town and Burnham Ramblers player has been working with Welsh Premier League side TNS, but was helping out the Clarets towards the end of last season.
"I am really excited by this opportunity and I really think this is an exciting time for the club," he said.
"You only have to look at the squad to know it wouldn't take much to be challenging for the league title and I think we have some exciting players lined up that the fans are going to enjoy watching and I think this season will be a very different season.
"I will be doing everything I can to help and support the management in achieving their ambitions for the club."
