A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbing a taxi driver.
A 34-year-old male driver claims he picked up a man from Baddow Road in Chelmsford in the early hours of Saturday, April 19.
The man allegedly became abusive during the journey, punched him in the face, grabbed his money bag and stole the taxi satnav.
The man is due to answer police bail on Saturday (June 7).
A police spokesman said today (June 3): "A 29-year-old man from Chelmsford was arrested on suspicion of robbery."
A woman has also been identified as a potential witness.
