After first posing for photos with two female fans to the right of the frame, 5ft 4ins Dappy, wearing a cap back to front, is ushered to the left by a bouncer.
George Chittock, then aged 18 and wearing a lightly coloured jumper, then appears to attract the 27-year-old's attention.
In the seconds that follow Dappy slaps Mr Chittock's left cheek with an open palm, before the victim and others chase after him out of the reach of the camera.
Today (June 19) the singer buried his head in his hands as he was found guilty of assault by beating at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court.
He was fined £800, ordered to pay £930 costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
'It is not reasonable to slap somebody when surrounded by bodyguards because somebody says to you "Oi, what?" said prosecutor Jacqueline Carey today.
