As the dust settles on England's latest World Cup loss, the fact they can still qualify still seems to dominate people's thoughts.
The saddest thing is that after their two performances so far, I don't particularly think England deserve to qualify.
After the defeat to Italy on Saturday, I pondered that if we were going to line up like Liverpool, we needed to play like Liverpool.
But I must admit I didn't quite have Steven Gerrard setting up Luis Suarez twice in mind...
It was another flat performance for me, with the front players largely ineffective against a Uruguay defence which we saw ripped apart by Costa Rica.
My overriding worry - and that shared by my esteemed journalism colleagues - was that there was no urgency, no pace, and nothing going in behind.
Daniel Sturridge again spent far too long away from the middle - I don't think the lone striker role is ideal for him.
Raheem Sterling was as ineffective out on the wing as Wayne Rooney had been on Saturday, and although their were flashes of his best from Rooney, he ultimately wasn't effective enough.
The referee - who I saw described as card-happy in the build-up - made a ricket when he failed to send off Godin, already booked, for his challenge on Sturridge, but the simple fact is England were not good enough.
Suarez's first came after Gerrard was caught in possession, and the cross and header were the only moments of real class in the first half.
England found their spark for a period in the second half, Rooney should have scored but then eventually did.
After the wild celebrations had died down, I commented that there was only one winner from there.
And there should have been, England should have had the bit between their teeth and gone for it against a side who had offered nothing in the second half.
But then up popped Suarez, running on to Gerrard's inadvertent flick-on to lash home.
Suarez is a great player, even if he might be wired up a bit wrong, as his comments about getting revenge on people in England who have criticised him for being racist and biting another player, and that he got that much time and space to seal the win was a massive disappointment.
Italy have to win both of their games now if England are to have any chance, but to be honest Roy Hodgson's men have to beat Costa Rica, and on what I've seen from England and Costa Rica so far, I've not got much confidence in that happening anyway.
If I were Roy Hodgson, regardless of what happens with Italy tonight, I would shake things up on Tuesday. This formation hasn't worked, so why not try another? Perhaps even a few different personnel should get a start - Lambert for one, maybe even Shaw, who would gain so much from a World Cup debut.
Before England's game, Colombia took what proved to be a decisive step into the next round by beating Ivory Coast 2-1.
The first half left a lot to be desired, but the second picked up and there was even a decent goal from Gervinho to boot.
I was on the train home without phone battery for the Japan and Greece game, but it seems I didn't miss anything, so we'll just gloss over that one.
Tonight sees the now pivotal Italy v Costa Rica clash before two more games in Group E, where the two winners from the first round of games - France and Switzerland - clash in a game which should be well worth watching after the French's impressive start.
And then Honduras will get the chance to try and kick Ecuador around a bit, which should also be fun...
