WITHAM Town are in shock this morning (Friday) following the death of club chairman Tony Last.
The club has announced on its website this morning that Last passed away last night (Thursday) after suffering a heart attack.
The statement read: "It is with deep regret that we must inform you that our chairman Tony Last suffered a heart attack Thursday evening at the club and despite all efforts to revive him the paramedics were unable to save him."
The club added that it was a very sad time for Mr Last's family and Witham Town, and that they sent their deepest condolences to his wife Linda and family.
