BRAINTREE Town skipper Kenny Davis believes that Dean Wells will be a big loss to the Iron for next season.
After an impressive season last year, Wells has earned himself a dream move to the Football League, signing for Stevenage for £25,000.
However, Davis is still confident that the Iron can have a successful Conference Premier season with the right signings.
He said: "I think that we can get back up to where we were last year. Obviously we lost Dean and he will be missed, but if we can fill in that gap and get one or two more central defenders just to deal with him being gone then you never know."
The Iron finished a fantastic sixth place last time out, just missing out on a playoff spot and Alan Devonshire has brought in Charlie Strutton and Dan Walker to bolster their attacking options.
Davis added: "The attacking boys that have come in will make us much stronger going forward and hopefully get us even more goals this year.
"I can't wait now, even with the pre-season games I just want to get going."
