The death of a person struck by a train at Chelmsford railway station yesterday (July 8) is non-suspicious, British Transport Police have said.
BTP and Essex Police officers, were called to the line to reports that a person had been hit at around 9.45pm.
Medics also attended but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The line was re-opened at 10.20pm.
A file will now be passed to the coroner.
The incident caused delays of up to an hour for Greater Anglia commuters travelling to and from London Liverpool Street.
