CHELMSFORD Athletic Club's Jessica Judd has been named in the Great Britain squad for the upcoming European Championships.
The squad was named today with a team of 74 athletes to represent Great Britain & Northern Ireland at the European Championships in Zurich, Switzerland, on August 12-17.
Judd has been selected for the 800m alongside fellow competitors Alison Leonard and Lynsey Sharp.
In a busy season for the 19-year-old, the competition will follow her attempt for Commonwealth glory in Glasgow later this month.
However, there was no European Championship spot for fellow Chelmsford runner Hayley McLean, who missed out to Meghan Beesley and Eilidh Child in the 400m hurdles.
