An 18-year-old man was killed yesterday when the car he was a passenger in collided with a council road sweeper in Colchester.
The collision happened around 1.35pm at Bromley Road.
The 18-year-old local man died at the scene and the driver of the black Citroen Saxo, also aged 18, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver and passenger of the road sweeper lorry were uninjured.
