This is the moment lightning struck in Chelmer Village - shortly before a house caught fire.
Richard Pearson, who lives in the area, captured this footage on his security camera at 10.32pm on Friday (July 18), around the time the house in Murrell Lock was hit.
Mr Pearson, who was watching television in his lounge described it as the loudest and nearest of the night.
