Residents of a house that caught fire at the weekend have been made homeless as a result.
Two crews from Chelmsford Fire Station tackled the fire, which started in the semi-detached house in Jarndyce, at around 2pm on Sunday.
When firefighters reached the house, the first floor was heavily smoke-logged, but crews managed to put the fire out within 20 minutes of their arrival.
At this stage the cause of the fire is unknown but an investigation is being carried out by police and the fire service to establish what happened.
The Red Cross Emergency Support Team also attended the incident to help the residents of the house who were made homeless following the fire.
