They have captured the hearts of animal lovers up and down the country, and the videos below show the scale of interest in rescuing 3,000 ducks threatened with slaughter.
A re-homing appeal via the Essex Chronicle by farmer Ian Chisholm, who said he did not have the funds to look after them ,attracted thousands to his Norton Field Farm, on the A414, over the weekend.
All have since been taken on by householders, charities such as Marsh Farm, and retreats, such as the Retreat Animal Sanctuary, which chronicled its duck "rescue mission" below.
