A teenage boy sought by police over an allegation of sexual assault on a girl in Colchester has been identified.
The 17-year-old alleged victim had been walking through the underpass on Crouch Street near Balkerne Hill shortly before 3.30pm on May 16 when a group of young men walked towards her.
As they passed her, one of them slapped her bottom.
The 16-year-old boy shown in CCTV released by police yesterday (August 6) has now been identified and will be spoken to about the allegation.
