Table toppers of the Premier Division Selex 'A' beat second placed Kingswood 'A'5-1.
Two Billericay Sports teams in action with the 'A' team of Babul McLeod, Dave Calleja and Gurjit Bhambra facing BAE Selex 'B' who sneaked through to the semi-finals. Billericay Sports 'B' also faced a difficult match against Billericay 'B' with the visitors wining 5-2.
FIRST DIVISION KNOCK OUT CUP
First Division Knock Out Cup matches saw Billericay 'C' lose at home to Billericay Sports 'C' 5-0.
Dave Humble was the star player for Brentwood 'B' in their home match against Billericay 'D' but was unable to prevent the visitors picking up a 5 – 4 away win and join Billericay Sports 'C' in the semi final – Humble's two wins coupled with a win for Brian Steward and a win in the first doubles just was not enough to win them the match. Buttsbury 'C' were 5 – 2 winners over their 'B' team with Tony Nettleingham and Louis Brown unbeaten. St. Joseph's Hutton had no problem in defeating two player Brentwood 'D' with Roy and David Barnes and Mike Pratley winning the single game that was necessary although the match was played out to a finish. Rick Paris and Graham Mann being the visitor's pair.
PREMIER DIVISION
League matches to note saw Premier Division BAE Selex 'B' of Garry Hartgrove, Chris Aukett and Paul Brown take a 9 – 1 home win over Billericay 'B' with only a singles win for Neil Freeman over Aukett to show for the visitors efforts. Ray Eldridge held a 2 – 1 lead over Hartgrove but lost 9/11 in the fifth and also lost another 2 – 1 lead to Brown in the fifth – Paul Mulley the visitors third player.
FIRST DIVISION
First Division Billericay Sports 'D' and Brentwood 'B' played the final doubles with Sports winning 11/8 for a 5 – 5 draw – both Malcolm Henstock and Danny Dempsey collected two points each as did Bob Garson and Brian Steward for the visitors – Mary Nicholls defeating Brian Cole who was scoreless – four of the ties went to a fifth end with Sports taking three of them. There was a 6 – 4 home win for Brentwood 'C' against Buttsbury 'B'.
