A BODY has been found in a first floor flat in Broomfield Road, Chelmsford.
Police have cordoned off the junction of Railway Street and Broomfield Road, while investigations continue.
They have also taped off part of the car park next door to the Ship pub. It is believed a man's body was found in a flat above Sanctus, a cafe for the homeless and vulnerable.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Police are at a property in Broomfield Road, Chelmsford, after a body of a man was found.
"Officers were called just after 8.30am this morning, police attended the house and discovered the body. Enquiries continue."
