A MAN has died following a head-on collision on the A414 in Maldon last night (October 9).
The crash happened at about 7.45pm between a blue Renault Clio and a blue BMW 320.
The 17-year-old male driver of the Clio, and a man and woman in their 60s in the BMW, were taken to Broomfield Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
All three are thought to be from the Maldon area, but the male BMW driver later died of his injuries.
The other casualties remain in hospital.
The road was closed to secure and preserve evidence whilst officers investigated the crash.
