A young female pedestrian has been hit by a vehicle in Ferrers Road this morning.
The collision happened in Ferrers Road at around 8.50am this morning between Inchbonnie Road and Hullbridge Road in South Woodham Ferrers.
Emergency services are at the scene and the woman is being treated at the scene.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "Emergency services are at the scene of a road traffic collision. It involved a young female pedestrian and a vehicle. Officers have closed Ferrers Road between Inchbonnie Road and Hullbridge Road.
"The incident is ongoing but officers would like any witnesses to the collision to come forward by contacting 101 and asking for the Roads Policing Team."
