Essex fireworks listings 2014: Where can you go on Bonfire Night?

Remember, remember - it's nearly the fifth of November! And that can only mean sparks are set to fly at across Essex on Bonfire Night.

See below for details on the many fireworks night events due to take place across the county - but there are bound to be some we've missed so email jessica.mcardle@essexchronicle.co.uk or scroll down and enter your details in the form underneath these listings

Saturday, October 18

Saturday Night Firework Display, Southend Seafront. (Southend-on Sea, Essex, SS1 2EJ) Free entry and starts at 7.30pm and continues until Nov 15, when the display starts at 5.30pm. For more information contact the Visitor Information Centre on 01702 215620 or email vic@southend.gov.uk

Belchamps Scout Centre Firework Display, Belchamps Scout Centre are holding their annual firework display and giant bonfire, with plenty of stalls and sideshows. Gates open at 6pm, bonfire at 7.30pm and fireworks at 8pm. Tickets 16's and over £5 Children 3 years to 15 year £4, under 3's free

Advance tickets on sale at Belchamps reception. The Rotary Club of Wickford will be hosting the annual Firework Display at the Memorial Park Wickford on Saturday the 1st November 2014.

Fireworks Night at the Brentwood Centre

An evening of fireworks in Brentwood returning with a funfair, children's display and full display. Adults: £4.99 in advance (£6 on the night). Kids(u16): £2.99 in advance (£4 on the night) Funfair gates open at 3.30pm, the children's display is at 6:30pm and the main display starts at 8.30pm.

Fireworks Night at Hatfield Heath

Fireworks night at Down Hall will be going off with a bang and the skies filled with whizzes and flashes for all the family to see. The evening will include a hot drink and hog roast, hot dog or burger, activities for the children and fireworks. The fun starts at 6pm to 7.30pm. Admission: £16.95 per adult, £9.95 per child. Full prepayment will be taken at time of booking and is non-refundable in case of cancellation

King Coel's Kittens Fireworks, Colchester Castle Park Fireworks Display

Gates open at 6pm with entertainment being provided by Michael J Fitch. The Operatic Society will be singing a selection of the war time melodies. The Guy procession commences at 7pm from the Castle Keep lead by the Colchester Town Watch with the Beefeaters parading Guy Fawks before he is placed onto the top of the bonfire. The fireworks display begins at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available up until 4.30pm on Wednesday 5th November, 2014, from the Colchester Visitor Information Centre, Holly Trees (situated in Colchester Park) 

Grand Fireworks Display at Braintree Rugby Club

Braintree Rugby Club's annual fireworks display at the Beckers Green grounds on Wednesday 5th November. £6 for adults, £4 for children, this event has a roadshow, fun fair, barbecue, outside bar, hot beverages, and once again the award winning and much travelled Funky Voices Community Choir singing from 7pm to 7.40pm. Parking spaces available. Access via Beckers Green Road or Dunstable Drive via Claypits. All proceeds from the event (not including the funfair) go to Braintree Rugby Club. Event sponsored by Titan Storage Solutions.

Billericay Fireworks Display, Lake Meadows, Billericay

Bonfire and firework display, complete with Heart FM Roadshow and DJ Marcus live on stage. Gates open at 5.30pm, 8pm firework display. Tickets are free for age 4 and under, between £4 and £6 for 5-15 inclusive, senior citizens £4 - £6 and 16 or over £6 - £8

Witham Round Table Charity Fireworks Display 2014 Witham Rugby Club, Spa Road, Witham, Essex CM8 1UN

Guy Fawkes Festival & Fireworks: Waltham Abbey

Featuring the gunpowder plot story with re-enactors from the period, craft activities and 'Ghost of Guy Fawkes' children's play shown in the onsite theatre. The evening draws to a close with a 15 minute fireworks display.  Science shows, Musket firing displays, children's fairground and refreshments are available

Gates open at 2 pm. Fireworks display at 7 pm. (last entry 6.45 pm) for both days. Prices range from £8.55 for a standard admission ticket to £37.35 for a family standard ticket (two adults and three children)

2014 Chelmsford Fireworks at Admirals Park, Chelmsford

Fireworks event in Chelmsford where all profits go to local charities. Doors open at 5pm and the event has onsite catering and bar facilities, Christmas and Street Market and children's attractions. Fast-track entrance for pre-sold tickets and this year will feature a new family orientated food market with a choice of Chicken Shack, Hog Roast, Salad Bar along with the traditional choices.

Annual fireworks in Danbury complete with a beer tent, funfair, giant bonfire, food outlets and live stage entertainment

Ongar Firework Extravaganza

Gates at Chipping Ongar Primary School open at 6.30pm. Plenty of stalls, rides, hot food & drink and a beer tent topped off with a firework display. Tickets are limited, so buy early.
Ongar Round Table have organised this in order to raise funds for local causes.
Time: 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Admission: Tickets are available from John Sear & Chipping Ongar Primary School which cost £12 per family (up to 2 children), £5 per adult, £3 per child, under 5's free. On the night, tickets will cost £5 per adult, £3 per child. No family tickets on the gate
