IT took Michael Evans just two minutes to retain his unblemished knockout record and complete his third professional win on Saturday night.
The Brentwood boxer floored his Bulgarian opponent Nikolay Kolyandov in the first round of their contest at the Prince Regent Hotel, Chigwell with a devastating overhand right.
Now the super middleweight, 24, is aiming for a bout early next year as he looks to keep busy in the professional ranks.
"It's great to have got off to a good start and hopefully I can take that in to the new year," he said.
"I really want to make next year a big year for me.
"I know the opponents will get better but I can't wait for that because all the blood and sweat I've been putting in at the gym, that's what it's for."
An early finish in the four three minute round contest last weekend actually went against Evans's instincts, who admits to being a cautious starter.
He said: "As soon as that bell went it kind of shocked me in a way because he came straight out like a caged bull trying to throw and land big shots.
"He wasn't wild but he definitely came to win and came to fight.
"When you're attacking that's when you're most vulnerable and open to the shots and that's what happened. He was trying to land and it gave me a kick start to get going and I caught him with a couple of shots in the corner.
"I pulled the trigger on an overhand right and it landed like one of those shots that I knew had connected. I knew he wasn't going to give up, once it hit I knew it was going to stay hit. It took him off his feet and straight to the canvass."
Evans would like to win a British Masters or Southern Area belt by this time next year and says he feels ready to step up to six round contests.
He said: "No matter what belt it is every belt is like a key and every key opens another door and that's how you work your way up the ranks.
"Physically and mentally I'm ready to step up to six rounds now and it's about finding the right fight at the right time."
