a record number of people dressed as Father Christmas joined in a Santathon run to raise funds for a hospice in Havering.
An estimated 400 people ran the 5km Santathon at Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club on Sunday in support of Saint Francis Hospice in Havering-atte-Bower.
It is hoped their efforts will have raised in the region of £10,000 for the charity.
The family and friends of patient Christopher Tomlin, who died of cancer in October, were among those who joined in.
His niece Emma Barlow, from Romford, said: "It was fabulous. The staff and volunteers at Saint Francis Hospice looked after my uncle amazingly so we decided to raise funds for this deserving cause."
Events manager Lauren Josman said: "It was great to see so many Santas come together for our fourth Santathon, the best turnout to date.
"Thank you to everyone who supported the hospice, all the volunteers for their help and Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club for hosting the event.
"Our care touches the lives of many people, but only thanks to the generosity of the community who help us raise the money that allows us to continue providing our specialist services to those who need it."
