The man who died in a road crash near Brentwood railway station was a Brentwood resident, in his 40s, police have said.
The pedestrian died following a collision with a van at Kings Road, at 5.57am on Thursday, December 6.
He was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at Queens Hospital, Romford.
The van driver, a man also in his 40s and from the Brentwood area, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
