A PALE ale named after the Gazette is to go on sale in three pubs across Brentwood.
Brentwood Gazette Exclusive, a bottled beer officially launched at the town's Christmas switch-on event at the weekend, has grabbed the attention of a trio of landlords who spotted the tipple in last week's edition of the newspaper.
The Eagle in Kelvedon Hatch, The White Horse in Coxtie Green Road and The Brave Nelson in Woodman Road have now asked to stock the ale on draught.
A chunk of the revenue generated through sales of the 3.7 per cent brew will be donated to Essex Air Ambulance.
The beer's producer, South Weald-based Brentwood Brewing Company, describes it as "a lightly hopped pale session bitter".
Managing director Roland Kannor said: "Yes, three pubs are going to be stocking the beer.
"It just goes to show that even when times are hard, the local pubs will support their community and local charities."
