MEMBERS of Brentwood Trampoline Club changed their leotards for school colours recently when they competed at the East Region Schools Championships in Hitchin, but they certainly did not leave the club's style at home.

The competition was split into 16 groups, with four age groups each competing in elite or novice, male or female and the first three placed individuals, and first two placed teams in each group progressing to the zonal finals in Wales in January.

Despite competing against some of the top trampolinists from all around the east region, the club was proud that its members claimed half of the elite titles available as well as much besides.

Competing in one of the larger elite groups, Susanna Badley, representing Coopers Coborn, won the U15 girls' elite group with clubmate Lauren Michaels (Gaynes) not far behind in third place and Olivia Watson (also Coopers) just behind her in fifth position.

Georgia Tyrrell (St Martins) secured the U13 girls' elite crown with Jessie Durrell (Brentwood Ursuline) not far behind in fifth, while honours for the U11 elite went to Maddie Merritt as individual winner and the Long Ridings team of Keira Sparkes, Rachael Davison, Mia Gray and Zara Phillips winning the team trophy.

Ainslie Plews (Coopers Coborn) competing in the U19 girls' elite will also be travelling to Wales as a member of the second placed team in that group.

In the boys' elite competitions Josh Newman (Billericay) won the U15 title and Eitan Robinson (King Solomon) came a close second in the U13s.

The club also enjoyed some success in the novice groups with Jay Woods (Long Ridings) taking third place in the U11 novice and Emily Flaherty, Emma Savill and Lauren Hill (Brentwood Ursuline) taking third placed team in the U13 girls' novice.

Brentwood Trampoline Club welcomes members of all ages and abilities to its regular sessions and still has a limited number of free spaces available for those aged between 14 and 25 under the ActiveEssex Sportivate initiative.

Contact the club through their website at www.brentwoodtc.org for more details.
