FIVE teenage boys have been arrested after four vehicles were hit with bricks on the M25 yesterday evening. The missiles were thrown from a footbridge over the motorway at Waltham Abbey at around 6.25pm. Two lorries and a recovery truck had their windscreens damaged in the attack and the cab roof of another recovery truck was also hit and slightly damaged. No one was injured as a result of the bricks being thrown onto the road near a footbridge close to Lodge Lane. A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Detectives are now investigating all the incidents but it is thought that other vehicles were struck by bricks but drivers have not yet contacted police." Five boys, all aged 13 and from Waltham Abbey, were arrested at Beechfield Walk at about 7pm yesterday on suspicion of causing criminal damage with intent to endanger life. They are all still in custody today. Any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident should contact detectives at Loughton CID on 101.
