JOE Cole looks set to re-sign for West Ham United on an 18 month contract, according to reports.
The 31-year-old Liverpool midfielder could make his second Hammers debut as early as this Saturday in the FA Cup against Manchester United at Upton Park.
Romford-born Cole has failed to establish a regular first-team place since moving to Anfield on a free transfer from Chelsea in 2010.
He spent last season on loan at French Ligue 1 side Lille and is thought to be avaliable on a free transfer with The Reds willing to cancel his lucrative contract.
The England international started his career at the Bolyne Ground coming up through the youth ranks.
He made a total of 150 appearances for West Ham before moving to Stamford Bridge in 2003 for £6.6 million following their relegation from the Premier League.
