BRAINTREE Town manager Alan Devonshire has admitted he's looking to bolster his forward line in the January sales.
This season the Iron have scored the fewest amount of goals in the division with just 26 strikes and Devonshire is looking for reinforcements to help the likes of Sean Marks.
"At the end of the day we need to score goals, that's what we're looking at so we're after a forward player," he said.
"I intend to do something in January, it'll probably one or two changes rather than anything else."
After losing 3-0 at home to Cambridge United on Boxing Day Braintree also lost the reverse fixture 1-0 on New Year's Day.
But Devonshire felt very hard done by in the second clash: "We should have got a result.
"There was a stonewall penalty right at the end we've seen the video and how the referee hasn't given the penalty I do not know. We should have got something."
Next up is a trip to Tamworth this Saturday. Goalkeeper Danny Naisbitt is struggling with an ankle problem which could mean Nathan McDonald, who's just returned from a loan spell with Billericay Town, deputises.
"I expect a tough physical game and we've got to stand up to that and match them," said Devonshire.
"We've got loads of games coming up. We lost the two games against Cambridge which is disappointing but we'll move on that's all we can do."
