FIVE people were arrested after a fight outside "Essex's busiest nightclub" on Saturday night.
Two of the revellers, who had travelled to Chelmsford from East London, have been bailed to reappear before police following the 2am brawl in Barrack Square, outside Candy Club.
A 23-year-old man from Dagenham, arrested on suspicion of assault, and a 21-year-old woman from Romford must report back before June 17.
A 25-year-old man from Hockney and a 21-year-old man from Rochford, also arrested, were handed six penalty fares, typically costing between £60 and £90, for being drunk and disorderly on the street.
A 21-year-old man from Chelmsford was also arrested for obstructing police officers.
The nearby 620-capacity Candy Club, which boasts VIP booths and a live stage, claims to be Essex's busiest nightclub.
Barrack Square is near to popular end-of-night hang out and busy taxi rank hub Moulsham Street.
Ali Asham, from nearby Fancy Fry takeaway, saw glimpses of the incident at work.
"There were police cars everywhere, about 10 to 11 cars, it was very busy. There's always too much fighting outside, it's normal here," he said.
