DEAN HOLDSWORTH called on his side to sharpen up at the back after they slumped to a second successive defeat.
Sam Long put the Clarets ahead against Weston, but goals from Niby Diallo and Tristan Plummer – from the penalty spot – saw the Clarets beaten.
It is a result which means Holdsworth's side have four points from his first four games in charge – three of which have been at home.
And the Clarets boss admitted defensive errors must be wiped out if they want to move up the Conference South table.
"It was very disappointing," he said. "But I'm even more motivated to work with the lads because we thought we'd played really well for the first half, we looked strong, we had a good shape about us and felt like we were the better side.
"The two incidents which have given two goals away, we're disappointed with because they've led to a defeat when on another day we've hit the crossbar in the second half and had another one cleared off the line.
"So the anger on Saturday was because we'd worked extremely hard for a victory which we all wanted."
Long fired in off the crossbar to score his second of the season after 36 minutes, but the lead was wiped out early in the second half.
Diallo broke down the middle and exchanged passes with Plummer before slotting past Tommy Forecast in the home goal.
Forecast made a fine save to deny former Bristol City man Plummer, but ten minutes from time Mark Haines tripped Dayle Grubb in the box, and Plummer fired past Forecast.
Long hit the crossbar as City pressed for an equaliser, but it wasn't to be for the Clarets.
Holdsworth brought in David Rainford for Bagasan Graham – the first change to the starting line-up of the season – and admits places are "up for grabs" as he looks to kick-start the season at Hayes & Yeading on Saturday.
"I've given everyone a good chance," he added. "And the players on the fringe have got to impress with their fitness and ability in the week, because there are places for grabs.
"We've all mentioned it in the dressing room that we're all together and the players have been disappointed with the two defeats because we keep saying that if we were defensively stronger then we wouldn't lose the games, so we're looking for that first clean sheet.
"I'm determined to get it right for us.
"Myself, [chairman] Mansell [Wallace] and [director of football] Paul Hopkins knew it wasn't going to happen overnight.
"We knew it was going to take a little bit of time, so we're not surprised by the start.
"We'll keep working extremely hard.
"We had a good physical session on Tuesday, and then on Thursday (today) we'll prepare the details for Saturday.
"We do our homework on other clubs, but as much as you analyse the opposition, it's important that we get ourselves right before we take on the opposition."
