DETECTIVES are investigating after a bike was stolen from a locked garage in Chelmsford last Wednesday night.
The theft happened at a house in Ravensbourne Drive, Chelmsford, where a distinctive bicycle was taken sometime between 9.30pm on April 23 and 6am on April 24.
The Specialized Allez bike with a 56cm frame was stolen from a locked garage and the main up and over door was found partially open by the homeowner in the morning when they noticed the bike was missing.
Investigating Officer DC Andrew Bagley said: "Nothing else was stolen in this burglary. I would appeal for anyone with any information to get in touch with me.
People involved in the local cycling community may be able to spot this type of bicycle with ease."
