TEAM GB bronze medallist Chloe Rogers was back in Braintree as she met up with four students from Tabor Science College at Tutti Grille restaurant at the Freeport shopping centre.
The 27-year-old, who used to play for Braintree Hockey Club, talked to the students about her hockey career and answered questions about the London Olympics, stressing the amount of hard work and commitment it takes to be an Olympian.
Year 10 student Rachel Perkins, 14, is a keen hockey player and was delighted to get the chance to hold Chloe's Olympic medal, saying: "It really is inspiring."
Jarrod Spencer, 13, asked Chloe if she believed in the school's motto 'Better Never Stops' to which she replied: "Motivation comes from getting enjoyment from what you do and wanting to make sure that you always believe that 'Better Never Stops'."
Chloe, from Dunmow, was also asked about the sacrifices she had to make in her social life for her sporting success.
"It was not a sacrifice, it was a choice," Chloe replied. "I wanted to be successful and I was determined to be the best I could. I knew this would require commitment."
Afterwards, Chloe revealed that since the Olympics much of her time has been spent on promotional and media duties but that she had enjoyed going to Buckingham Palace earlier in the week for a reception for Team GB's Olympic and Paralympic medallists.
Chloe is now back playing club hockey for Leicester but is uncertain whether she'll compete in the next Olympics in Rio in 2016.
"I'll be 31 if I go to Rio and there are other things I want to do. I think I need a bit of a break, six months out, to think about it," said Chloe.
