A WORKER has been injured following a 15ft fall down a water tower in Benfleet.
An ambulance was called shortly after 10am this morning after the man injured himself falling from one level to another at Benfleet Water Tower.
He was found by paramedics on the seventh floor with injuries to his elbow, wrist, elbow and ankle that are not believed to be life-threatening.
An EEAST spokesman said: "At present our crews are at scene of a man who has been injured at Benfleet Water Tower and he is believed to be six levels up.
"Ambulance crews are currently treating the man with non life threatening injuries and are working closely with our Trusts hazardous area response team (HART)to bring him down to ground level."
He has now been taken to Southend hospital for treatment.
