POLICE have cordoned off an area in Meteor Way, Chelmsford, and are currently guarding the scene.
The triangle-shaped section of road has been mapped out with police tape near the start of the junction with Waterhouse Lane.
Four officers were guarding the area and two police cars are at the scene.
A resident told the Chronicle: "I've just got up, I had no idea the police were out there, sometimes they have speed cameras out there, but I'm not sure why they are there now."
