The Week in TV including 24: Live Another Day24: Live Another Day: Sky 1, Wednesday, May 7, 9 pm
Jack is back and this time he's in London. Kiefer Sutherland's rogue counter terrorist agent Jack Bauer has been deep undercover since we last saw him in 2010 but he emerges in London just in time to try to foil a plot to assassinate the US president while he's visiting Blighty. Jack;s efforts are complicated by the fact that the president is his old friend James Heller (William Devane) whose daughter Audrey (Kim Raver) Jack became intimate with before. Also returning is Jack's right-hand woman, tech expert Chloe (Mary Lyne Rajskub, looking like Lisbeth Salander from the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo movies these days) who has become disgruntled by the US authorities and is reluctant to help Jack this time round. 24 broke the mould when it first started eight seasons ago with its 'real time' approach and split screen visuals and although this series will only be 12 episodes this time round, expect it to be as tense and addictive as ever.
