A man and a boy have been treated by paramedics after a fire broke out in the bedroom of a property in Ventura Drive, Colchester.
Fire fighters from Colchester were called to the scene at 6.23pm yesterday and used a hose reel to extinguish the fire in an upstairs bedroom.
Paramedics treated the two casualties for breathing in smoke.
Once the blaze was out, crews used a high pressure fan to clear the property of smoke, leaving the scene by 6.41pm.
