A man was freed from his car this morning after a collision in South Woodham Ferrers left a second vehicle on its side.
Firefighters from Wickford and the town's station rushed to the incident in Clements Green Lane at around 10.51am.
The Essex County Fire and Rescue service said: "Firefighters released a man trapped following a two vehicle RTC which left one car on its side.
"The man was trapped in the car which was still on its wheels.
"Using two sets of cutting equipment crews had released the man by 12.03pm."
