A man had to be freed from his vehicle by firefighters earlier tonight after he was involved in a three vehicle collision on the A414 in Chelmsford.
The accident happened at around 6.45pm on the westbound carriageway of the A-road.
Three fire engines, two from Chelmsford and one from Great Baddow attended the crash and worked to free the man, who was initially trapped.
Paramedics also attended, but the extent of the man's injuries is currently unknown.
Fire crews had left the scene by 8.11pm.
