THE University of Essex is helping police and the Coroner's Office with their enquiries after a body was found during a search for a missing student.
Paulo Junior, 34, a postgraduate visiting research student at the university's Essex Business School in Colchester, was taken to Broomfield Hospital late last night after he was found in a "mentally unstable condition" at Stansted Airport.
The Brazilian, who was living at halls of residence near the university, ran out of the hospital at 2am this morning and a police helicopter was sent up to look for him 30 minutes later.
A body was found in the grounds of a home in Blastford Hill, north of Broomfield, at 8.30am.
It is yet to be identified.
A spokeswoman for the university said: "Our thoughts are with Paulo's family, friends and fellow students at this time and our student support team are providing support to those affected.
"We are assisting the police and coroner's office with their enquiries."
